The Senior Product Analyst for Clinical Programs is accountable for contributing to the oversight of OptumRx’s Medicare Drug Management Program, as defined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Opioid Risk Management Program.
This position contributes to efforts to implement and execute on CMS reporting requirements for OptumRx clients who have enrolled in our Drug Management Program and/or Opioid Risk Management Program. The position will promote operational efficiencies, automation of manual processes and develop new opportunities to enhance program outputs as the analytics expert.
The individual in this role will be knowledgeable in interpretation of federal guidance and ability to pull and interpret data to meet plan sponsor needs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to navigate through various IT systems and applications to create and execute on new analytic offerings. Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
> Monitor guidance from CMS, HHS, etc. and participate in work groups and meetings
> Build consensus around strategic direction of clinical reporting related to Drug Management Program, OMS and outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries and related programs
> Support Drug Management Program and Opioid Risk Management program clinical product manager to effectively communicate program and reporting changes with cross functional teams within the organization including clinical, operational and account teams
> Share outcomes results and provide training related to department analytic products
> Consult with internal partners to drive process development, management, and continuous improvement efforts in support of Medicare programs
> Provide support to implementation of clinical program and analytic offerings
> Identify and execute on process efficiencies, automation and improvement strategies

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
> 4+ years of recent experience related to data analysis or applied analytics, preferably in or related to consulting
> 4+ years of recent experience in SAS, SQL, VB (Visual Basic) programming language and Microsoft office solutions
> 2+ years of recent Medicare, managed care, PBM or health plan experience
> Experience with analytical tools and BI tools like PowerBI, Alteryx
> Experience developing client reporting and ensuring data accuracy and completeness for all deliverables
> Understand and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of business solutions and assist users with data assets
> Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to an audience of various levels within the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
> Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics or related field from an accredited college or university
> Experience in Medicare clinical program support and quality measures
> Experience fostering and maintaining relationships with product owners and account teams in support of program and client objectives
> Working technical knowledge of drug data (MediSpan, FDB)
> Working knowledge of database structures and claims data experience (RxClaim)
> Proven analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, solid business acumen, and creativity in problem solving
