GTA 6 is in development, Rockstar games is looking foward to sharing more GTA 6 news as soon as possible

According to an official confirmation from Rockstar, the long-awaited GTA 6 is in development. 

In a press release, a representative for the company that owns the Grand Theft Auto franchise said: 

"With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know that many of you have been asking us about a new title in the Grand Theft Auto series. With each new project we embark on, our goal is always to go above and beyond what we have previously delivered, and we are happy to confirm that development on the next Grand Theft Auto is underway. 

We want to share more information as soon as we have something to share, so stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details. On behalf of the entire team, we thank you for your support and look forward to taking a step into the future with you!" 

According to rumors, GTA 6 should take place in current times, equivalent to the contemporaneity of GTA 5 at the time it was released. 

Rumors also point out that the game may have a female protagonist. GTA 6 does not yet have a release date. 

If we consider Rockstar's recent announcement-release cycle of major titles, Grand Theft Auto 6 should arrive in about two years' time.
